Newest Member of a Design Team

Well first of all let me say that I am uber excited that Amber over at http://www.amberscraftsandstuff.com/ has kindly given me the chance to participate on her design team. When I started this journey, I wasn't sure where I wanted to go with it. Over the past couple of months I've met some of the most talented people in scrapping world. Everyone has been more than welcoming and inspiring all the same. I'm super excited to get started.

Some Bunny

Good Evening everyone,

While I sat around waiting for the wonderful news of March's "Hello Thursday" cartridges, I decided to make another Easter card. I wasn't quite sure how it would turn out, but I LOVE it.

Details:
5 x 7 card
Bunny and basket are cut from Create-A-Critter at 3 inches on all layers
The eggs are Jolee's that were left over from another project
I cut a little piece of grass to go in the basket
I used my Martha border punch on the top green mat which is cut at 4.75 x 3. The pattern green mat is cut at 4.75 x 4. 5 (I think).
I printed the sentiment on my computer using the font "Chalkboard" at 20 pts.
I choose to use a button to challenge myself. I have a small stash of buttons, but have been hesitant to use them.

Good Evening Everyone,

I've been super busy this past week. After much deliberating, I decided to open up an Etsy shop. I'm sure it's going to be hectic, exciting, drama-filled, and emotionally draining. Celebrate the Occasion Challenge #5

Good Evening,

This is my first time entering a challenge over at Celebrate The Occasion. This week's challenge is "New Arrival (baby or puppy)". You can create a card, layout, or project. Here's my card:

I decided to do an unconventional card. Here are the details:
Card base is 6 x 6 inches
Gingham mat and yellow mat are 5.75 x 3.5 inches. I used a Fiskar's punch along the bottom edge to add some details
I cut the carriage from the New Arrivals cartridge at 3 inches for all layers. I added some Stickles to the handles, wheels, and the edging of the bassinet.
I used a stamp from my clearance set that I got at Micheal's

FCCB Challenge #51 - Hip to be Square

Good Evening,

I just wanted to post my project that I will be entering into the weekly challenge over at The Fantabulous Cricut Blog. This week's challenge was to create a square card using green and gold (bright yellow was also acceptable). So here's my card:

Details:
Card base is 5 x 5 inches
Yellow mat is cut at 4.75 x 4.75 inches
Gingham mat is cut at 4.5 x 4.5 inches
Square clover is cut from Designer's Calendar at 3 inches
Ribbon is from my stash that I got from Oriental Trading Company and the stamp is from a set I got at Michael's

It's doubly squared. LOL! I was actually able to get 3 cards done tonight while the man-friend and his daughter were at boxing class. Oh how I love Tuesday & Thursday nights!! Have a wonderful evening.

Iron-ons & the Cricut

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I wanted to share how I made these adorable t-shirts for a friend. I got this idea from Karlee over at her blog. I wasn't able to find the sheets that she purchased (and I wasn't going to drive 45 mins to Joann's), so I went over to Wal-Mart and looked for an alternative.

I remember WAYYYY back when we used Heat & Bond back in Home Ec. So I picked up a yard of that. Make sure you buy the one for being used with an iron. They have a sew-on one and I don't sew!




Right next to the Heat & Bond there was a ton of fabric to choose from. I ended up buying 2 yards of blue cotton fabric. Here's a pic of the label.




I don't have any pictures of the process...but I will try my best to explain it to you. First, you will want to cut a piece of fabric about 6 inches long and 12 inches wide. I chose these dimensions because I wanted to make sure there was room on my Cricut mat. Next you will want to cut a piece of the Heat & Bond slightly smaller than the fabric.

Apply the Heat & Bond to the fabric using the directions. Then make your way over to the Cricut.

I applied the fabric to my mat, fabric side down. I cut the letters using Classic Font and the airplane and truck from New Arrivals. Make sure that you have your "Flip" button on!!!! I made that mistake the first time. Enter whatever you are going to cut and hit "Cut".

When you are ready to put your images onto the t-shirts. Peel the paper off, arrange as desired, then place your warm iron over each image for about 10 seconds. Here are the finished t-shirts:










I have some many ideas going for future t-shirts.
