Pattern Paper Phobia (PPP)

Hello my name Natasha and I'm a Pattern Paper Phobic. ROTFL

Okay, so not really but I've realized over the last few months that I have the hardest time putting pattern papers together. I love the way they look on other people's projects but I will sit for hours looking at all my pretty paper and freak out when I try to put them together. Does anyone else feel this way? How did you overcome your phobia? Is there a PPP support group?

I see some of the most amazing cards, minis, and other projects that utilize these papers fabulously. I look at my projects and see a lot of plain, monotone items. Not that I think my projects are bad, I just wish I could allow myself the creative freedom to put the papers together. ::SIGH::

Ok, enough of my rant. What crafty projects are you working on this week? I'll be back later in the week with the finished baby book for a coworker.

Stay crafty.

  1. I used to be the same way about pattern paper. For the longest time I would use only one pp with several different colors of cardstock. The best advice I have for you is to go buy a pack of pattern papers that are all coordinated so you could use any of them together to make a gorgeous project.

  2. I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one!! I used to use ALL patterned paper on projects until I realized how much easier it was to use solid cardstock. Now I'm kind of stuck too, and I just need to find a way to push through! Sorry, I'm not much help!
