Saturday: Operation Crop

Hello Everyone,

Today has been super productive. After Saturday morning pancakes, Miss A and I went to Micheal's to grab a new paper trimmer and the Sizzix Texture Boutique. All trimmers were on sale 40% and I used a coupon on the Sizzix Boutique. For those who have been thinking about getting the Cuttlebug but are not ready to commit to the price. I recommend the Boutique. With a coupon, it was $19.97 with tax. I also recommend reading the directions very carefully. If you are doing a single piece of paper, you definitely want to use the stint (and maybe another piece of cardstock) for best results.

I also needed to replace my paper trimmer. For some reason it just refused to cut straight lines anymore. I battled back and forth about the type to get. In the end I purchased the Making Memories folding trimmer. I like the fact that it's a 12 x 12 trimmer, but can be folded and stored away. It also has a magnetic ruler to hold paper down so that you can score your paper.

Miss A got a book on how to make fortune tellers, which kept her busy ALL DAY!! Once we got back I immediately went into full invitation mode. I folded and assembled 21 pockets and invitations. I also managed to cut 150 scalloped circles and 150 "S"s. All I am waiting for now is the rest of my Berrylicious paper to come in so I can finish the invitations. Here's what the last bit of my Cricut cutting looked like:

Hope you all are having a super weekend.

Stay Crafty
