What a day!!

Good Afternoon everyone,

No crafty post today (or at least right now). I'm sad to report that my beloved Honda Accord was stolen over the weekend (AGAIN - it was stolen 2 years ago). The good news is the police found it today. The bad news is the stupid person(s) who stole it were involved in an accident. I haven't looked at the vehicle yet, going over first thing in the morning, so I can't report on the damage. The tow yard says it isn't drivable, windshield is cracked and door is messed up. What would possess someone to take something that isn't theirs. Let alone something worth so much and is that important. Luckily we own another vehicle and a motorcycle, so the man-friend can still get to work and I can have a vehicle to pick up Miss A from the Boys and Girls club after work.

It's sad. The weather is nice for once and crime automatically goes up. I wouldn't say I live in a bad neighborhood. I live just on the cusp of one. What's even sadder, I lived in what you classify as a "rough" neighborhood before I bought my house and nothing ever happened to my car. Well the man-friend's truck was broken into and had the GPS stolen, but I blame that on him for leaving it out.

Anyway, just needed to vent. I promise to get around to checking out all the new followers and their blogs. I'm appreciative of all of your support and can't wait to see what projects you have on your blogs.

Stay Crafty

  1. Sorry to hear this has happened to you. What are the odds that it would happen not once but twice? What state do you live in?

  2. Sorry about your car.

We had two vehicles totaled by someone who stole a truck, then proceeded to go on a high speed chase with them, and turn now my nice 1 block long residential street, lose control on the curve and smack into our cars that parked at the curb.

He was also HIGH and tried to run away on foot but the cops chased him down and tackled him to the ground.

  3. I own an Accord also; they are one of the most popular of all stolen cars, but I have been lucky…of course it is now 16.5yo, so I suppose no one would want it at this point :)

What an inconvenience this is for you! I hope it is all sorted out quickly so you can get back to your normal routine.

  6. Oh wow. So sorry about your car. I had one stolen once. I was a single mom in college. That was my only mode of transportation and it had my school books and infant seat in it....and it was Mid Terms. I did get the car back...had to fight for the car seat but finally got that returned, but lost the text books. Oh well.we got thru it! Such an invasion tho isnt it? Good luck. Just passing by from the Link Party. When your life calms stop by for a visit!
